What Type of Vehicle Would We Travel In?

We only cater to smaller groups. No big buses. Options include an 11-passenger or a 7-passenger customized Mercedes touring van. The customized van includes high back leather captain's seats, an interior height of over 76", lots of leg space and picture windows for unobstructed viewing. The 11-passenger and customized 7-passenger vans carry the same rate.

Are There Any Other Vehicle Amenities?

Yes. Cold bottled water, soft drinks and snacks are always available. Sets of binoculars are available for sharing among the guests. Drop-down tables make it convenient for snacks and reference material.

Would We Be Traveling With Strangers?

No. We cater to small groups of friends, family and business associates that desire to pursue directions and activities on their own schedule and pace.

Where Can We Go To Begin Using Your Service?

Sliver Spur is based in Flagstaff, Arizona and Sedona, Arizona, but we can come to you at a $50 per driving hour charge. While Northern Arizona destinations play a central role in most client's itineraries, our private customized tours can include any where in Arizona or the adjacent borders of Arizona.

Can You Pick Up Our Group at An Airport or Hotel?

Yes. We will make pickups at no charge at the Flagstaff or Sedona, Arizona Airports or hotels in those cities. Pickup can be also be arranged at other Arizona airports or lodging points.

How Many Passengers Can We Bring?

Our shuttle van carries 8 passengers. The passenger seat next to our driver is also available creating a maximum of 10 guests. Our customized touring van holds 7 guests with the passenger seat available for an 8th person.

Do We Pre-Book Accommodations or Can We "Wing It"?

Both. Once we create a custom tour, we can suggest accommodations at convenient spots. We can make your reservations and try to negotiate the best volume price break. We will however use your provided credit card numbers to book reservations. Or you can "wing it", but that sometimes is a bit risky if travel times are during peak periods.

What Type of Accommodations Do You Arrange?

That's up to you. Accommodations are to your personal tastes, rates, style and amenities. We drive and guide, but do not dictate sleeping arrangement.

Who Pays For Lodging Costs?

You do. Our services do not include lodging, activities or meal costs.

Will Our Host Be Guiding Every Aspect of Our Trip?

Your host driver serves as your concierge and may guide some non-driving experiences. In some situations, we set you up with other local guides such as fishing, whitewater rafting, float trips on the Colorado River, hot air ballooning, helicopter rides and similar. The cost of special guides will be built into your private tour and excursion. Entrance fees to parks, if required will be additional.

Will Our Host Driver Be With Us At All Times?

Your host driver is with you during driving periods and some guiding times. He or she is at your personal service. They are happy to drive you out to dinner for the evening or to local entertainment. However, the law only permits a maximum number of driving hours and the driver must have rest hours between 10 PM and 7:00 AM and therefore are not available for late night activity pickups.

Who Pays For Driver Meals and Lodging?

Silver Spur does. Such fees will not be added to your private tour fees. For emergency purposes, phone numbers will be provided to reach your driver.

How Should We Dress?

Be comfortable. Of course the weather at any given time of the year determines what comfortable means. When we help you plan your trip, we can discuss high and low temperatures at various points within your trip. If hiking is involved, you must be bring comfortable hiking attire. Luggage space is somewhat limited, so we request that bags be kept to a minimum.

Can You Accommodate Children?

Yes. Let us know if child car seats are needed and we will provide them. Bottled water, soft drinks and light snacks are included and available anytime. However, if special need beverages and snacks are required, those would be your responsibility and we carry a cooler in the vehicle for convenience of our guests.

Do You Offer Wheel Chairs?

At the present time we cannot accommodate guest with wheel chair needs.
