Explore the Sedona elements. An easy, tranquil hike along one of the most scenic hiking trails in Arizona that criss-crosses Oak Creek. Tour the edges of Boynton Canyon where prehistoric Native Americans once roamed and then mysteriously disappeared but left dwelling ruins built into the canyon walls as evidence of their ancient existence. Enjoy lunch at Indian Gardens. Drive up Airport Mesa which overlooks spiritual vortex spots with expansive views high above Sedona. And then jump on a jet helicopter (optional) and soar across the Secret Mountain Wilderness with eagle views of ancient dwellings.

This is serenity amidst nature. An adventure into nature and history. An all day tour of the elements Sedona has to offer. Come. Excite the senses.

Tour Itinerary.
Indicated times are approximate.

8:30 to 9:00 AM: A Scenic Beginning.
Join your friendly, knowledgeable guide at your hotel to begin a scenic drive up Oak Creek Canyon to Sterling Springs where we fill containers with cold, crystal-pure water from a natural spring that has flowed for thousands of years.

9:30 to 12:00 PM: West Fork Trail.
Step into a world of Kodak moments. This is bonding time. With friends, with nature. Experience the most picturesque hiking trail in Arizona along the edges of the Secret Mountain Wilderness and Oak Creek. The trail is easy and flat. Your hike will be about 2.5 miles into the West Fork as the trail criss-crosses Oak Creek. The round-trip hike is about 5 miles.

Cross the footbridge. Walk alongside apple orchards and canyon walls. Dip your feet into the shimmering waters. Trek beneath treed canopies. Absorb the beauty. Hear the sounds of nature. Or just sit upon a creek boulder and imagine how serene life may have been in this pristine area for ancient civilizations.

12:00 to 1:00 PM: Lunch at Indian Gardens.
Stroll among lush trees next to red rock canyon walls near the banks of Oak Creek. This is a fertile area where ancient Sinagua Indians once cultivated and grew their staple crops of corn, squash and beans. Today, it is one of the most picturesque spots in the Sedona area.

1:00 to 2:45 PM: Drive Along Boynton Canyon.
We descend Oak Creek Canyon and head to northwest Sedona along the edges of Boynton Canyon to the Enchantment Resort. A high-powered telescope permits you to see a distant ancient Indian ruin built into the alcoves of red rock cliff walls where prehistoric Native Americans once lived about a thousand years ago. Take about a 40 minute self guided hike to the Boynton vortex towards Kachina Rock. Juniper trees twisted from the powerful spiraling energy of the vortex are abundant along the trail. From the top of the 30 foot knoll enjoy the view of Enchantment Resort and the Wilderness area beyond.

2:45 to 5:00 PM. Airport Mesa & Optional Helicopter Ride.
We head to Airport Mesa. Strap-it on! Those guests that elect the helicopter tour option will soar above the Secret Mountain Wilderness. During this 22-24 minute you will descend deep into Boynton Canyon, fly between towering cliffs and hover close to ancient Indian cliff dwellings built into the alcove overhangs. The "eagle's view" of popular red rock monoliths such as Cathedral Rock, Coffee Pot Rock, Chapel of the Holy Cross and others are incredible.

Those guests that do not take the helicopter ride will be treated to the astounding views from atop Airport Mesa. At 500 feet above town, panoramic views extend 75 miles in any direction with stunning panoramas of red rock formations. Take a short hike up the vortex near the mesa lookout. Experience the awe-inspiring beauty that has made Sedona famous.

About 5:00 PM. End of An Inspiring Journey.
After a fun-packed day, your guide will return you to the front door of your hotel. Soul enriched, rejuvenated and memories of your trip to Sedona that will embed for a lifetime.
